 Port Dinorwic Marina is a picturesque grade II listed marina set on the Menai Straits. There are a range of marina berthing services, from pontoon to swinging moorings, an active sea lock and an expanding marine services department.

About the Role  

An exciting role has come available at our Port Dinorwic Marina in North Wales of Dock Master.

You will be getting involved in all aspects of running the dock and marina, including. 

  • Operating the sea lock and lifting road bridge 
  • Operating plant and machinery, including cranes, boat movers, tractors and trailers 
  • Assisting with the movement/towing of vessels 
  • Assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of the marina 
  • Work on basic boat maintenance alongside the Marine Services Team. 

While it would be great if you know the difference between a boat’s ‘bow’ and ‘stern’, or any other boating knowledge, it is not essential. We are looking for someone who loves working as part of a team, is eager to learn and keen to get hands on.  

Training will be given where required.

Salary  £11.48 per hour 
Length of contract  Permanent (3-month probation period) 
Hours  4 on and 4 off (12-hour shifts) 

Monday – Sunday including Bank Holidays.  

Most of the shifts are days but there will be occasional night shifts. 

 

About You 

You will love being outdoors and hands on with all tasks that need doing, including getting wet and dirty if the need arises.   

You’ll be ready and still willing when the sun goes down and the rain starts. You will enjoy delivering an excellent service for our customers and take satisfaction from giving them excellent experiences with The Marine Group. 

You will enjoy long, tiring but rewarding working days. And you’ll make the most of the four shifts off to balance it out.  

Hours, Location and Salary  

The role is shift work of 4 on and 4 off (12-hour shifts), Monday – Sunday including Bank Holidays.  

Most of the shifts are days but there will be occasional night shifts.
