We are delighted to announce that Freemantle Yacht Rigging has joined Cardiff Marine Services Ltd. Andy Freemantle is an experienced and well-respected rigger and will join Cardiff Marine Services as Rigging Manager. Andy will manage a team of two riggers and will continue to offer a wide range of rigging services including the supply of new masts, replacing running and standing rigging, renewing all furling systems and deck hardware.
The expansion of Cardiff Marine Services’ rigging department follows on from the extension of the workshops and storage facilities at Cardiff Marine Village. Cardiff Marine Services has invested heavily in their facilities to ensure that they are Wales’ leading boat repair and refit centre. Boat owners will benefit from the creation of a dedicated rigging loft in the new 100ft x 50ft workshop, as well as a fully mobile service. In addition, the company has a mast crane located at Cardiff Marina for stepping and dropping masts. The rigging department is a centre for a number of leading brands including Selden, Harken, Marlow ropes, Zspars and Sparcraft.
