Bathymetric surveys using single-beam or multi-beam systems can be used for pre and post dredge surveys and volume calculations as well as regular monitoring of siltation. Our surveying equipment is fully portable and we able to mobilise across the UK and Europe.
Bathymetric Surveys
We can provide bathymetric surveys of the following;
- Inland waterways
- Reservoirs
- Rivers
- Marinas
- Ports and harbours.
Using Bathymetric Surveys During Dredging Work
Our fleet of Water Injection Dredgers use the Tower Software dredge monitoring system along with uploaded pre dredge surveys in order to guide the dredging process.
Using this software, the dredging skipper is able to see the surveyed depths in real time, making the dredge work much more efficient.
Single and Multi Beam Bathymetric Surveys
We offer both single and multi beam bathymetric surveys and our team of experts can help guide you on which approach is best for you.
Single-beam surveys are a cost effective method of producing hydrographic surveys. We utilise dual-frequency equipment to allow recording of soft silt depths along with the harder sea floor.
Surveys can be performed at a number of frequencies ranging from 30KHz to 440KHz dependant on the site and application.
We use the latest Beamworx data acquisition and processing software along with satellite GPS units and L-Band correctional services to provide accurate bathymetric surveys.

We also offer LIDAR above water 360 degree scanning. LiDAR stands for ‘Light Detection And Ranging’.
LiDAR mapping is a remote sensing method that uses light in a pulsed laser form in order to measure distances to a subject. It can be used to inspect structures such as piers and other solid infrastructures
