The Marine Group announces the purchase of West Point Marine. West Point Marine have over 35 years’ experience in marine engines and bring with them a number of key dealerships including Mercury, MerCruiser and Yanmar Marine. Under the new ownership, West Point Marine will continue to offer their customers an in-depth knowledge and understanding of outboard engines.
The new relationship with The Marine Group will see West Point Marine benefit from additional support and investment including an enhanced pool of skilled engineers and the support of administration staff. This enables the engineers at West Point Marine to focus on their skilled work, allowing for a swifter and even broader service offering.
The boatyards operated by The Marine Group, are together the largest in Wales, and a major insurance repair centre, Hot Vac osmosis centre, Dek-King Dealer, 3M Gelcare Centre and Approved Awlgrip and International Application Centre. The addition of West Point Marine is the latest development in an ongoing programme of investment for the company, which has also recently doubled the size of its Cardiff boatyard, purchased a dredger and a Sealift for lifting boats up to 50 tonnes, to add to the company’s services.
The purchase of West Point Marine, complements the existing boatyard service offering, which includes support for all types of inboard engines and marine generators and ensures continued growth and development of the engine department.
