Dredging

With all the necessary studies and permissions granted, the next phase of the dredging in Burry Port Marina has begun. The dredger arrived in Burry Port on 28th June and work has started near the marina entrance and will progress throughout the marina. The ram for the tidal gate is currently under repair and we will keep berth holders informed when this is ready to be reinstalled. If you have any queries relating to the work please contact the marina office.

Car Parks and public toilets

Please note that The Marine & Property Group Ltd has solely taken over the running of the marina within Burry Port Harbour. The management of all car parks and public toilets remains the responsibility of Carmarthenshire County Council. Therefore, all enquiries relating to parking for motorhomes, payments for parking and upkeep and opening times of the public toilets should be made directly to Carmarthenshire County Council.

Marina security

We ask all berth holders to be vigilant of any suspicious activity at the marina following an incident in the early hours of Friday 29th June 2018. The Police are investigating, but if anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Dyfed Powys Police on 101.

Swimming and water safety

May we remind all berth holders that jumping into and swimming within Burry Port Marina is strictly prohibited. This behaviour is extremely dangerous due to factors such as boat traffic, submerged obstacles, fluctuating water levels and soft mud. During the recent warm weather there have been numerous instances of members of the public ignoring the signage situated around the marina clearly stating this is prohibited.  We ask that if you notice anyone jumping in or swimming in the marina that you immediately notify marina staff and the police.
