Untitled designNEW WASHROOMS NOW OPEN IN PORT DINORWIC MARINA

We are delighted to announce that the refurbishment work on the washrooms at Port Dinorwic Marina is now complete and ready for berth holders to use from this weekend. The layout has been completely reworked to ensure better use of the space and the finish selected to meet our brand standards.

The new layout incorporates a separate disabled washroom which will also doubles up as the toilet facilities for Swellies Cafe. The mens and ladies have been reconfigured to ensure individual wet room shower areas and an improved footprint for the toilets, sink and vanity area. The laundry facilities have been moved by the stairs for easier access and will be re-commissioned shortly. In addition, we have updated the main entrance corridor and reception to create a much more welcoming space.

In order to help ensure the security and exclusivity of the new marina washrooms, we have installed a new fob system on the main access doors. In order to gain access you will need to collect a fob from the marina office. There is a £10 deposit to pay per fob, which is fully refundable when you return the fob at the end of your berthing contract.

Inland and Coastal Marina Systems appointed to replace Port Dinorwic Marina pontoons

As part of our wider ongoing programme of upgrade works at Port Dinorwic Marina we are pleased to announce that Inland and Coastal Marina Systems (ICMS) has been appointed to update and modernise the pontoon infrastructure. We are currently working with them to plan and schedule the works and subject to approval, anticipate the work beginning in the autumn.

As much of the existing infrastructure as possible will be adapted, but where this isn’t feasible ICMS will replace walkways and finger pontoons completely with its highly respected Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) decked pontoons. The aesthetically pleasing GRC decking not only remains slip resistant when wet, doesn’t rot and considerably reduces maintenance costs while increasing the longevity of the marina system.

Please be aware that work has begun on the harbour wall that was damaged in the bad storms earlier this year. We ask that you give this area as wide a berth as possible when passing and be mindful of the workmen operating in this area and take every care to avoid getting close to them.
